AMAZON INDIA FASHION WEEK presented by FDCI - SS17

After a glamour filled week of high fashion dose evenings, city is gathering back itself. The hangover Monday is gone and a new fresh week has started after the Amazon India Fashion Week presented by FDCI held at NSIC grounds in Okhla from 12^th October to 16^th October, 2016. The designers showcased Spring Summer 2017 trends for the next season. The summer style breeze blew us with stunning runway silhouettes. Here we bring you the highlights of the vibrant five days you must catch on!

1. Traditional Weaves: The fashion fraternity celebrated Indian weaves, traditional textiles and handlooms this fashion week. On first day, 13 designers showcased a beautiful tribute to Chanderi and on the second day, designers raised a toast to craftsmanship and Traditional weaves.

2. Italian Affair: FDCI collaborated with Italian Trade Commission to have Italy as a partner country for this season’s Fashion week. Italy designers showcased fashion appeals from shoulders to heels on first day and participated in a round table conference on 14^th They presented production and manufacturing process of shoes and bags. They even talked about collaborations with Indian designers.

 

3. Jewelry game: Ramp saw ample jewelry designs this season. The designer Felix Bandish showcased his handcrafted nickel free jewelry titled “forbidden fruit”.

“Whatever” by Abhishek Kankaria and Shrruti presented cocktail hour contemporary style silver and studded jewelry. The shoulder jewelry won many hearts. Ambar Pariddi, Vinay & Anshu Gupta showcased vintage and exquisite jewels as well among many others.

4. Trend takeaway: Pastel palette introduced last year has infused a big game this year to feminine silhouettes and cuts. The forever plaids and bold checks didn’t loose the grip. This summer layer up your rose printed maxi dresses and skirts without a doubt! Sheer play and quirky printed off shoulder tops will be the chic trend. Traditional weaves and handlooms will be all over. 
5. Buzzing events: Apart from runway shows the action continued to entertain the style geeks. The evenings were lit with music and lounge parties avec Ska vengers music!
