Have you tried the honeybee beer yet? We know who wouldn’t want to try out this crazy idea for beer by Hannah Rhodes launched in 2013 in United Kingdom. The concept of honeybee beer is quite unique and cool.
What is Honeybee beer?
It’s especially for people that don’t really like the bitter taste of beer (which has hops, yeast, and a bit of it stays back). With the honeybee beer, they actually include it in the brewing process directly. It’s so cool! They are ethical too! So you won’t feel bad about where the honeybee is sourced from and what it’s background really is, because these days the honeybees are in short number and brands need to be more aware. They ethically source their ingredients, and have a sustainable approach to business, supporting pollinator charities and suppliers. Pretty awesome, we think!

- The honey is used in the brew to aid the fermentation and conditioning process, rather than being added afterwards for sweetening, making honey a core component of the beer
- The honey added gives the beer a crisp and refreshing ‘dry finish’, ensuring the honey flavour shines through without it being too sweet or cloying.

What’s even more interesting is that in 2016, Hiver (the company that makes the beer) launched “The Experience”, a beekeeping and beer-tasting session where budding bee and beer lovers can get up close to the bees. Wow!!
This is followed by a tutored beer and food matching session, where the full Hiver range can be sampled and anyone can try it out!
